OBTAINING A TENT- The easiest way to get a tent is to loot cycle (before beginning, have at least 12 inventory slots free to carry your tent/ move loot). You can search all the feed shacks too your hearts content if you wish, but it takes longer. Tents are used to store items and can be placed anywhere on the map, except inside buildings. Placing a tent can be tricky - try slowly moving the player's character to one side with the inventory open while repeatedly attempting to pitch the tent. A camping tent takes up three inventory slots. Camping tents may be accessible via prone. I have filled all the visible slots and have started to fill the others by dragging things on to the tent bar. However when I scroll wheel down to view the other slots they don't show. I have tried clicking on what looks like it should be a scroll button on the right hand side of the tent inventory but nothing happens. The Car Tent is a highly sought after tent in DayZ Standalone. Boasting the largest amount of storage space of all the Storage & Tents, the Car Tent is even capable of housing a vehicle inside of it.

Dayz Car Tent Slots
The Canopy Tent is a type of equipment in DayZ Standalone. Added in patch 1.08.

The Canopy Tent when set up is a tent capable of high storage capacity, making it a relatively useful storage container to establish a larger base with.
Use[edit edit source]
It can be entered and therefore used as a small house or base. When inside the tent you're protected from rain and coldness. When placed, its 6 doors can be opened and closed individually.
A Camo Net and a set of Xmas Lights can be attached to the Canopy Tent. The Canopy Tent comes in 4 variants: white, blue, brown and a checkered red/yellow Luna Park variant.
